Today’s Post by Joe Farace
If you’ve a regular reader of this blog you know we’re big fans of Volkswagens, all kinds of VWs from air to water cooled. Somewhere I have a photograph of Mary as an infant with her Mom and Dad next to their brand new 1953 VW Beetle. (If I can find it, I’ll post it her, it’ so cute.)
VWs on the Green is sponsored by the Volkswagen Enthusiast of Colorado car club, which was started in the Denver metro area in 1987. From the very beginning VWEC has been an active club supportive of its members and their passion for modern and classic VW’s. In 1995 with the help of sponsors, the club put on the first Volkswagens on the Green (aka VWOTG) on the grass at Arapaho Community College. I was there in 2002 with my new Volkswagen GTI 337.
At the show there will be Preferred Parking for $10 for any VW w/ Air-cooled or water cooled engine, Porsches that have Air-cooled engines, and Audi’s. Preferred Parking lets you on the grass next to the show cars. You can show off your VW and have the convenience and security of having your car close at hand.
More details about everything related to the show on the VW’s on the Green website. We hope to see you there.
