The subject of this photo is a McLaren 720s, taken at McLaren Denver. This sports car is designed and manufactured by British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive.
The 720S is the first all new car to be introduced by McLaren as a part of its plan to launch 15 new cars into the market by 2022.
The 720S was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017 and is built on a modified carbon monocoque that is lighter and stiffer when compared to its predecessor, the 650S. According to McLaren, the 720S is 91% new.
The photo equipment used by Ken Nelson to create this dramatic image was a Canon EOS 7D Mark IV with a EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens and a B+W nano coated polarizer. Says Ken, “These cars are relatively lightweight with considerable power. I find the lines intriguing offering plenty of opportunity for creating abstract compositions.”
