Today we feature one of the photographs that’s entered in our National Photo Month competition. If you missed the announcement, here’s a link.

This is is a photo that Mike Dooley took at a local car museum. “The car is a 1956 Jaguar XK140 Roadster, and she was beautiful.”

“They had all kinds of great cars but I kept coming back to this car. I was really happy with the shot – I used a 16-35mm lens and basically stood on my tippy toes and hand held the camera as high up as I could, and tried to use the LCD as best I could to get a symmetrical shot. Took a bunch of attempts, but eventually I got it!”

Thanks Mike for a perfect example of a “Hail Mary shot.”

At the end of the month, I’ll pick a winner(s) and showcase them in a special post. The prize is a Lenspen DSLR Pro Kit, that contains everything needed to keep your camera lenses, viewfinders and filters clean. It includes an original LensPen for your lenses, FilterKlear for filters and the smaller MicroPro, specifically designed for cleaning viewfinders and tight corners that are hard to reach and clear of dust.

If the photograph of the car happens to be your own car, there will be a special extra bonus in the prize package.
